Turquoise Chenille Kilim

Luscious, soft, hand-woven turquoise cotton chenille kilim with striking tribal designs and motifs. A kilim rug is a flat-woven rug with no pile, using changes of coloured yarn in each weft thread (weft substitution) to produce the delicate patterns seen.  This is unlike tapestry, whereby patterns are generated by weaving threads into a completed, pre-woven foundation.
